children at Zawadi Za Mungu

Our History

Zawadi Za Mungu Primary School and Skilling Centre is a Boarding and Day School founded in 2025 by Pastor Doreen Taaka, with support from her friend and sister. Located in Bugiri–Bukasa LC1, Katabi Sub-County, Kisubi Parish, Wakiso District, the school was established in Pastor Doreen's former residence, transformed into a safe haven for underprivileged children who often missed school due to poor weather and lack of access to education. The name "Zawadi Za Mungu" means "Gifts of God" in Swahili, inspired by Psalms 127:3 — “Children are a gift from the Lord.” We believe every child matters, and our school stands as a family — a home away from home.
